MARRIED BY PAOLA
The celebrant with an Italian heart
I’m Paola, an Italian wedding celebrant crafting romantic, intimate, and fully bespoke symbolic wedding ceremonies across Italy — in English, Italian, French, or Spanish.
After many years living in England and travelling the world, I returned to Italy with a renewed love for my roots and the warmth of Italian culture. With over ten years’ experience as a Destination Wedding Planner, I focus on what matters most: attentive listening, genuine human connections, and creating personalised wedding rituals that reflect your story, your journey, and the emotions you share.
As a professionally trained wedding celebrant in Italy, accredited by the National Association FederCelebranti, I guide couples in designing symbolic ceremonies, vow renewals, and intimate elopements that are heartfelt, meaningful, and uniquely theirs. Your ceremony can be fully bespoke, romantic, and deeply authentic, harmonising perfectly with the magic of your chosen Italian location — from the rolling hills of Tuscany, the vineyards of the Marche, to the stunning shores of Lake Como and beyond.
Whether you dream of a symbolic wedding, a vow renewal, or a private elopement, I help make every moment joyful, emotional, and unforgettable. Curious to see how your story could unfold into a beautiful Italian wedding ritual? Let’s explore it together.
As an independent wedding celebrant in Italy, I specialise in creating personalised and meaningful symbolic ceremonies. I travel throughout Italy — from Rome and Tuscany to the Marche and the stunning Lake Como — designing fully bespoke weddings that capture each couple’s love story and emotions.”
Meaningful ceremonies for life’s most precious passages
“We had the absolute pleasure of having Paola as our celebrant for our wedding in Le Marche, Italy, and we could not be more grateful for everything she brought to our day.”

Paola’s expertise
A life is not something that happens to us, but something we design — with time, care, and courage.
-
I decided to celebrate my high school achievements by travelling to Africa and then to Brazil, to better understand the world.
-
I return to Le Marche after three years in Bologna, where I studied Economics and gave in to other lessons — punk music, Chinese food, art, and vintage afternoons at Giardini Margherita — learning, slowly, another way of being
-
I opened a B&B and, almost without realising it, became a destination wedding planner for foreign couples. During this period, I also dedicated myself to studying English and exploring local tourism. I became a member of Slow Food, learning to appreciate local products through wine and olive oil tasting courses. I participated in a project on the anthropology of our region, studying dialects, customs, and beliefs. Alongside this, I developed a passion for aromatherapy, yoga, writing, and theatre, weaving together a life rich in curiosity and discovery.
-
I went to Brighton to earn the Cambridge CAE and, along the way, discovered that I loved England. But when my grandparents were involved in a serious car accident, I had to return to Italy.
-
I became a celebrant through a highly professional course in Rome with FederCelebranti — a wonderful experience. As a spiritual person, I discovered the beauty of secular ceremonies, seeing them as a profound expression of respect, dignity, and meaning for any celebration.
-
I celebrated my first funeral and began studying the role of the doula — a guide who supports people both at birth and in saying goodbye. I assisted a friend at the end of life, and realised that my calling lies in embracing life in all its fullness, with love, honoring it through celebrations and eulogies. What a richness I have discovered in these rituals, and in them I feel the fullness of my role, discovering that I am able to celebrate all the moments that mark people’s lives.
-
I have celebrated my first twenty events — from renewals and elopements to weddings — for couples arriving from all over the world. I have traveled across Italy, collaborating with prestigious venues such as Resort Borgo San Felice in the Chianti region, bringing love and meaning to each unique celebration.
-
I married a Londoner I was living with, but after two years we parted ways. I moved closer to the sea and spent six splendid years on my own, keeping my wedding planning business thriving, teaching at Rome’s Academy of Events, and also becoming a private English teacher
-
I began working in a luxury fashion brand between Milan and Le Marche, while my passion for social causes grew. Volunteering at a recovery community for people struggling with addiction not only taught me the quiet power of empathy, but also led me to cross paths with an old schoolmate, Fabio. In December 2016, during a delightfully eccentric living nativity — I was a feminist Jesus, he was Saint Thomas — we fell in love. Since then, he has been a constant source of joy in my life.
-
Through the community, I discovered the University for Peace of Le Marche and the international association Creators of Peace. I trained as a facilitator, after studying in Oxford and Brighton, to guide women’s conversations on peace. Today, I lead Peace Circles grounded in active listening, non-judgment, and confidentiality, creating authentic and constructive relationships each time.
-
I am pursuing a master’s in gender equality, inclusion, and diversity at the Brodolini Foundation, and along the way I met someone special who would become one of my dearest friends.
"I became a celebrant to share in the joy of love stories, creating heartfelt moments that turn emotions into unforgettable Italian-style celebrations."
